Fire crews have attended a grass fire close to Crown Point in Burnley.
Two crews, from Padiham and Bacup, attended the incident, which was reported around 4pm on Monday.
Pictures provided by Padiham Crew Manager Laura Herdman, show how the fire had spread across a patch of dry grassland, burning the peat and soil underneath.
The fire was doused by firefighters, with the flames extinguished by 7pm.
Speaking just after the incident was wrapped up, Crew Manager Herdman said: "The fire is out now but there is a team left watching for hot spots as a precaution."
