A shoplifter who drove off from a store leaving a security guard hanging out of the car is being sought by police.
Officers in Blackburn want help in identifying the woman, pictured, after a number of handbags were stolen from TK Maxx on the Townsmoor Retail Park.
Police were called around 1.55pm on February 7 after an incident at the discount retailer in Great Bolton Street.
A spokesperson for the police said: "A woman, as well as a boy and girl, had entered the shop and selected a number of handbags before leaving without paying.
"A security guard followed the group as they got into a blue Ford Focus car and attempted to stop them by reaching inside the passenger door.
"The woman drove off with the security guard hanging outside the door.
"The guard let go, with the vehicle driven at speed on Great Bolton Street before leaving the scene."
Following CCTV enquiries police are keen to identify the woman, pictured, in connection with the theft.
