A MAN was arrested after parking up to shop at a Blackburn supermarket in his girlfriend's car having with cannabis in his system.
Police arrested the man on the Aldi and Iceland carpark on Bolton Road after it turned out he only had a provisional driving licence and no insurance.
A post on the Blackburn with Darwen Neighbourhood Policing Team page read: "Popping to the shops for essential groceries is allowed.
"Borrowing your girlfriend's car to do it in with no insurance and a provisional licence after having smoked cannabis is not.
"One more in custody for the sergeant."
