A MEMBER from a girls community group has written a self-isolation diary.

Sara Hussain who forms part of the WEGS (West End Girls) at the One Voice Blackburn community charity, wrote about her days while in self-isolation.

The twelve-year-old from Blackburn wrote in one entry: "Today was the day I came to the realisation that I've barely been on my phone, even though it's only been 3 days into this whole quarantine situation.

"Compared to how much time I spend on my phone on a daily basis, the amount of time I have recently been spending has dropped rapidly.

"It made me remember about the fact that I've not had to rush, and I've had quality time with my family.

"In addition to this, the homework completion continued. We had done our homework for the day, and that's when my cousin asked to help her with some tik-toks."

The girls were all asked to keep diaries of their tine at home, and meet up via Zoom to talk about what they are doing.
