Bolton has seen the biggest day-on-day increase in the number of coronavirus cases as 18 more people test positive on 2 April, Public Health England have announced.
This figure is double that of the previous largest increase on 29 March, when nine cases were recorded.
There have now been 69 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Bolton.
According to Public Health England, there were 4,244 news cases of coronavirus recorded in the UK on 2 April, bringing the total number of cases in the UK to 33,718.
The number of coronavirus-related deaths in the UK has risen by 569, bringing the new total to 2,921 deaths.
