A man has been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of teenager Cameron Murfitt in the Woolwich Common area.

Mario Gruda, 22, from the SE9 area, was charged on Thursday and scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (March 28).

18-year-old Cameron died from a stab wound to his thigh at the scene of incident, which was reported in Academy Road at around 3.30pm on March 15.

It was previously reported that Cameron had been cycling along the road, when he was involved in a crash with a white car.

A suspect was then said to have climbed out the car and stabbed him.

An 18-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, March 16 has been bailed to return on a date in mid-April.
