THE number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Blackburn with Darwen has gone up to six, it has been announced.
That is double the amount that the borough had yesterday.
Public Health England revealed the total number of COVID-19 cases in Lancashire has now hit 116.
Those figures include the six in Blackburn with Darwen, 102 in the Lancashire County Council catchment area and eight in Blackpool.
The total in the UK is now 11,658, with 9,782 in England, 894 in Scotland, 741 in Wales and 241 in Northern Ireland
Of the 107 deaths in England where patients had tested positive for COVID-19, all but two had underlying health conditions.
The two people without existing health problems were aged 71 and 86.
Patients were aged between 32 and 102 and their families have been informed.
