Pendle Borough Council have announced a number of service closures in order to limit the spread of Coronavirus

Bletchley Car Park will be closed to visitors, while members of the public are advised to avoid more popular tourist hotspots and play reas in parks.

Members of the public are advised to avoid all council buildings unless it is strictly necessary and instead to contact the council via email or online.

All evening council meetings due to take place at Nelson Hall are now cancelled and the Police and Crime Commissioner elections have also been postponed.

Nelson and Colne markets will close from 5pm Monday until further notice, while all Pendle Leisure Trust facilities have also closed.

The Pendle Business Awards have been postponed.

Refuse collection will continue as normal, but refuse belonging to anyone with Coronavirus must be treated with greater care and all pest control visits have been suspended.

All sports fixtures and all bookings at the Steven Burke Sports Hub are cancelled until further notice.
