FIRE crews were called to a blaze at an empty property in Burnley.
The incident took place on Branch Road in the town at midnight.
Crew manager Dean Thompson said: "We had a call to attend reports of a fire in an empty property.
"It was just some rubbish that had been left and we managed to put it out.
"There was nobody hurt during the incident and no-one was in the property at the time.
"We were there for about an hour in total trying to make the scene safe.
"It had been called into us by a neighbouring property who had seen it.
"There was not really a danger of it spreading to more properties."
