A train has derailed between two East Lancashire stations, causing lines to be closed and trains cancelled.
Earlier on Monday, a freight train travelling between Blackburn and Clitheroe stations derailed.
Network Rail were forced to close the line, which has now affected passengers travelling on trains between the two stations.
Trains will not call at any stations between Blackburn and Clitheroe in both directions until about 8pm, but will be replaced by bus services.
A spokesperson for Northern Assist said: "Due to a freight train derailment earlier today, Network Rail advise that trains will not be able to call at stations between Blackburn and Clitheroe in both directions from 6pm to approximately 8pm.
"Road replacement buses have been arranged to operate between Blackburn and Clitheroe.
"One coach will depart Blackburn at 4.45pm calling all stations to Clitheroe and is being operated by S Line.
"One coach will depart Clitheroe at 5.25pm calling all stations to Blackburn and will be operated by Paul Orrell."
The first train affected by the derailment was the 3.18pm train from Rochdale to Clitheroe which terminated at Blackburn.
According to Northern Assist, disruption is expected to continue until 8pm.
