SNOW falls in East Lancashire - with more snow expected to hit the streets tomorrow.
The Met office has issued a snow and ice warning has been issued for large parts of northern England, including East Lancashire from 10pm tonight.
However snow already hit Blackburn today as a shower of flakes descended onto the town centre.
The snow warning is expected to last to 10am tomorrow.
A Met Office spokesman said: "Wintry showers and icy stretches likely to bring some travel disruption.
"Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
"Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
"Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths."
Two further rain warnings have been issued for Friday and Saturday for the north west of England.
