ROSSENDALE Radio has applied for a community radio licence from OFCOM.
Tony Nixon and Brendon Hamer, who run the station from Haslingden Community Link and Children's Centre, in Haslingden, have had their bid for the station accepted.
If they get the go-ahead, people in Rossendale will be able to hear the broadcasts.
They will know if they have been successful within eight to 12 weeks.
