THE Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen Cllr Jim Shorrock has formally opened the show house at a new homes development.
He was invited by Persimmon Homes to unlock the property at The Blossoms in Ramsgreave Drive, Blackburn giving local house hunters their first glimpse inside the four-bedroom 'Kendal' property.
So far 11 homes are up for sale but eventually the estate will have 155 two, three, four and five bedroom houses.
John Roocroft, managing director for Persimmon Homes Lancashire, said: “Opening a new showhome is always exciting for our team, but we were really honoured to be joined by the Mayor and Mayoress Linda Mahon at The Blossoms.”
The Blossoms has a range of homes priced from £144,995.
Mr Roocroft added: “Buyers at The Blossoms may be eligible for the government’s 'Help to Buy' scheme, meaning they could secure their dream home with just a five per cent deposit."
