Staff at the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) have voted their workplace as a good place to work in the 2019 NHS Staff Survey.

The NWAS has given information and advice out on staying happy and healthy. Workers can access web pages, podcasts, money discounts and training opportunities to give their wellbeing a boost.

More than 6,000 people are employed by the NWAS and compared to other ambulance trusts it scored higher than average when it came to staff morale and quality of care.

Lisa Ward, Interim Director of Organisation Development said: "We are really pleased with the results from this year's NHS Staff Survey which has highlighted some really positive improvements.

"Our amazing staff are what makes this organisation so special and their views are really important to us."

The survey further revealed that improvements had been made surrounding NWAS staff being involved in managerial decisions.

Responses were collected from 2,774 NWAS staff members who completed the survey.
