THE Health and Safety Executive has confirmed it is making inquiries after a man suffered serious leg injuries after an accident at a fibreglass factory.
Police, the fire service and paramedics were called to RHV Ltd in Walmsley Street, Rishton, after a man in his 50s was injured at around 2.35pm on Wednesday.
An ambulance service spokesman said a patient was taken to hospital, and they had called an air ambulance, along with an operational commander, an advanced paramedic and a rapid response vehicle.
A police spokesman said the man’s family have been informed.
A Health and Safety Executive spokesman said: “We have been informed and are making initial enquiries.”
