A MAN has had an allegation of sexual assault against him dropped.
Heathcliffe Christian, 52, of Brook Mill, Threadfold Way, Bolton, pleaded not guilty to the offence it had been alleged was committed in Clitheroe on April 23, 2018.
A legal representative for Mr Christian: said: "We are delighted to announce that following protracted proceedings the Crown Prosecution Service have decided to offer no evidence against Mr Christian and as such His Honour Judge Parry at Preston Crown Court formally recorded a 'not guilty' verdict in the matter.
"It is now hoped that Mr Christian will be able to put what can rightly be described as a harrowing ordeal behind him."
