SOAP stars from East Lancashire put on their dancing shoes in a bid to raise cash for children across the county.
Burnley's Malcolm Hebden, who plays Norris in Coronation Street, quick-stepped his way into the limelight in a version of the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, on Saturday night.
With all proceeds going to the NSPCC, the fundraising event was re-named Not Strictly Come Dancing and Malcolm teamed up with Kathy McArdle to open the dancing competition.
Kathy, who has appeared in several roles in Corrie and is married to Liverpool-born actor John McArdle, organised the star-studded event, which was hosted by Life On Mars and Emmerdale actor Seamus O'Neill.
Speaking after the event, Kathy said: "It was a fantastic night that went really well.
"Mine and Malcolm's dance was well received and everyone cheered us on. It wasn't a perfect routine but I don't think that mattered."
Four local couples took to the dance floor and were judged on their waltz by a panel of celebrity guests including Michelle Holmes who starred in The Chase and Rita, Sue and Bob Too.
The competition was won by Denise Park and Andy Robinson, from Clitheroe.
