A HAIR salon is no longer promoting gossip magazines to its customers in a bin to ban negativity following the death of Caroline Flack.

KOLO Hair and Beauty Boutique in Chorley has announced it will not provide the publications since the death of the television presenter.

A spokesman from the Pall Mall business said: "We have decided as a salon to bin the gossip magazines and will no longer be offering you these whilst your at the salon.

"With the devastating news about Caroline Flack we will not be promoting these magazines that slate people, put people down, advertise peoples personal problems, disrespect peoples outfits - the list goes on.

"Instead we will have the good old fashioned books and some educational magazines and even some colouring books.

"I hope other salons will join us with this decision."

The Love Island presenter, 40, took her own life last weekend ahead of a highly publicised assault trial.
