A 19-YEAR-OLD man suffered a fractured pelvis in a car crash.
Police were called to Kittlingbourne Brow, Higher Walton, at 1.10pm yesterday when a Vauxhall Corsa, travelling in a north-easterly direction, had mounted the footpath before colliding with a stationary Jaguar, which then hit a stationary Peugeot 108.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a 17-year-old boy from Preston, was not injured, but a passenger in the vehicle, a 19-year-old man from Preston, suffered a fractured pelvis.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
A third man, believed to be a passenger in the Vauxhall, left the scene before police arrived.
The road was closed for five hours while accident investigators attended the scene.
Sgt Craig Booth said: "We are keen to speak to any witnesses following a serious injury collision in Higher Walton.
"We would urge anyone with information about what happened to come forward."
