A FORMER Territorial Army soldier has been arrested on suspicion of spying for Russia.
Peter Hill, 23, who is from Colne and went to Clitheroe Grammar School, was arrested under the Official Secrets Act last week for allegedly attempting to sell military documents to the Russians.
Last night Mr Hill was technically bailed until next April.
However he remained in custody as he will appear in court tomorrow on a seperate charge of possessing explosives.
Mr Hill, who now lives in Skipton, will appear before magistrates in Leeds, the city where he was arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police last week.
He has been charged under section four of the Explosive Substances Act 1883.
It is understood the explosives allegations do not relate to any suspected terrorist-related activity.
