A TYRE fitting store had its roof severely damaged as Storm Ciara battered the region.
Accrington Fast Fit Tyres in Blackburn Road, Church, had part of its roof ripped away during highly-powered winds on Sunday.
Debris crashed onto a lower roof of the business, causing more damage, as well as scattering across the road.
Police were called to the scene and closed the road off near Bridge Street junction.
Lancashire County Council were made aware of the incident and removing the debris from the road has begun.
Traffic is being diverted from Thwaites Road to Market Street.
A police spokesman said: "The Bridge Street junction of Blackburn Road in Accrington is closed due to a partially collapsed building.
"Lancashire County Council are aware and are dealing with the obstruction."
Speaking about the wider storm effort, a county council spokesman said: "Big thanks to our staff, local authority colleagues and emergency service personnel who have been working hard around Lancashire - and are continuing to do so."
