STAFF at Crown Paints will be supporting the Alzheimer's Society for the next three years.

More than 1,100 employees were asked to nominate a good cause as the decorating giant's charity partner.

And the society, which has several branches and activities around the county, came out with the most votes.

Fundraisers will take place at their Darwen head office, manufacturing plant in Hull and the company's network of decorating centres.

Natasha Patel, the society's senior regional corporate partnerships executive, said: "We are really excited about working together in a mutually beneficial partnership and the funds raised will go directly towards supporting people affected by dementia."

Fiona Eason, a Crown director, added: "It’s a fantastic charity which supports those affected by Alzheimer’s while campaigning for change."
