And on Saturday, they arrested a man on suspicion of possession of synthetic cannabinoid, also known as spice.
A spokesperson for the police said: "As part of our plan to tackle ongoing substance misuse in Blackburn Town Centre, over the weekend we have conducted both covert and overt patrols in hot spot areas and have arrested a man on suspicion of possession of synthetic cannabinoid, also known as spice.
"The man has been reported for this offence and will appear in court in due course.
"We will continue to conduct operations to disrupt those who supply and use drugs in our town centre.
