UNDERCOVER licensing stings by consumers watchdogs are said to have caught out two Pendle stores.
Trading standards bosses have now sought reviews against two premises in Colne, after they allegedly failed under-age drinking test purchases.
Representatives from Knotts Lane Shop, in Cotton Works Mill, Knotts Lane, and Headline News, in North Valley Road, must now face a Pendle Council licensing panel.
In each of the cases, the county council's trading standards department says it is concerned that the licensing objective of protecting children from harm are being contravened.
And in notices issued for both premises, it is said: "This follows a recent complaint of children being supplied with alcohol and a more recent failed test purchase."
No date has yet been fixed for either of the licensing reviews, though the deadlines have passed for submissions. The stores could face losing their licences or a suspension.
