AN international dimension has been added to a Blackburn vaping firm's marketing blitz.
Last year the Lancashire Telegraph reported how Vape Dinner Lady (VDL) had begun rolling out freestanding displays at Euro Garages sites across the UK.
And now the same stands are en-route to 40 different convenience stores in France, after the British trials proved successful.
The displays are modelled on their eye-catching and award-winning Lemon Tart e-liquid bottles.
John Taylor VDL's chief marketing officer, said: "Our new freestanding display unit is a winning solution for retailers, having generated significantly more in sales value and margin from a smaller footprint in store trials.
"It presents a new advantage for retailers looking to capture a share of the growing vape market and delivers a superior shopping experience for the consumer."
An estimated €350 million is up for grabs each year across the French vaping market and VDL bosses hope their stands will help secure a slice of the action.
Some of the larger models even have an inbuilt video display, explaining which of their products might suit which customer. The firm's disposable e-cigarette is a key feature, alongside e-liquids and a host of leading hardware pods and pen devices.
Mr Taylor added: "Our new disposable e-cigarette is proving very popular with UK consumers and convenience retailers and on this basis we decided to expedite its launch into France with the larger format units."
