A snake has been spotted on the loose in East Lancashire.
Police were called on Wednesday to assist a Barrowford window cleaner who had seen the snake hissing and slithering through the town while he was out doing his rounds.
Residents need not be alarmed though, as the snake was a tiny corn snake who was clearly cold and lost.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Today PC 694 Dibb assisted a window cleaner who had been welcomed by Sammy the snake who was out on an adventure.
"This corn snake decided to go on a trip around Barrowford hissing for new friends.
"Thankfully officers came to the rescue of this reptile from the cold weather."
Anyone who knows anything about Sammy or who he may belong to should call the police on 101 quoting log number 0793 of January 30.
