A BLACKBURN homeless charity has smashed its winter fundraising target by raised more than £2,000.
Community Spirit provides food and clothing to those who sleep rough in the town during the winter months by going out onto the cold streets every night.
15-year-old musician Jacob Reddy, from Blackburn, supported the charity by writing a song called "Community Spirit" to help raise funds for the charity.
Neil Mistry, chair and co-founder of Community Spirit said: “We’re absolutely blown away with the generosity of local people.
"I’d like to say a massive thank you to all our supporters, especially 15-year-old Jacob Reddy who’s devoted many hours perfecting and producing a truly inspirational song, especially written and performed for our people, and aptly called Community Spirit. "
