A MAN who went round to apologise to his partner for his previous behaviour went back the following day and assaulted her.

Blackburn magistrates heard Joss Bradley grabbed his partner by the neck and squeezed before pushing her back onto the bed.

He then got hold of her face and squeezed hard, saying he was going to "do her in."

Bradley, 28, of James Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to assault and criminal damage to a door. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said after the assault Bradley went outside and the victim managed to lock the door.

"She then heard banging on the front door and she felt really scared," said Miss Allan.

"Everything went quiet but he returned again half an hour later and damaged a door panel by kicking it, She said she was terrified by the incident."

Miss Allan said the victim no longer wanted to be in a relationship with the defendant but wasn't asking for a restraining order.
