A TEENAGER is set to stand trial over an allegation he sexually assaulted a woman who was walking home from a night out.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, did admit to robbing the 47-year-old woman of her phone and handbag in Healy Wood Road, Burnley, at 11.40pm on December 13.
He also admitted to possessing a knife during that incident, as well as committing a robbery in Nelson on December 14 and possessing a knife in Every Street, Nelson, on the same day.
Judge Andrew Jeffries QC remanded the defendant, who is from Burnley, in custody until his trial at Preston Crown Court on April 6.
