RESIDENTS in and around the Chester area may be experiencing low water pressure today (Wednesday, January 22).

That is because, according to supplier Severn Trent, there is a burst water pipe at one of its water treatment works.

The incident was first noted just before 8am.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "The situation in the area is improving and we have teams on site working hard to repair the pipe.

"We've got additional resources and tankers out and about who are providing support, so you may see these on your travels today.

"You may still find you're experiencing a lower pressure than normal whilst we carry out this work, this is nothing to worry about and you should find this improving throughout the day."
