BLACKBURN and East Lancashire Breast Cancer Support Group has announced its 2020 programme.

The group meets at the Beardwood Hospital, Preston New Road, Blackburn, from 6.45pm to 8.30pm on the first Tuesday of the month.

At the March meeting there will be a chocolate tasting party with Amanda from Creative Chocolate; in April there will be speakers from Rosemere Cancer Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support; on May 5 there will be a chat night and nine days later there will be a visit to Blackburn Empire Theatre to see Fiddler on the Roof; in June there will be lingerie and swimwear from Betty and Belle; in July there will be a summer party; in August there will be a chat night; in September there will be a talk about keeping fit by Alison Hartley from Age UK Blackburn with Darwen; in October there will be games and a quiz hosted by Michelle Farnworth; in November Gemma Baldwin from Tropic Beauty will bring a selection of beauty products to buy; and in December there will be a Christmas party.

A group spokesman said: "A warm welcome awaits at our meetings. We understand about waiting for results, receiving a cancer diagnosis and the treatments involved. We hope we can help by inviting you to a meeting where you will meet others in a similar situation."
