A 28-YEAR-OLD was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the back at a house.
The man, who is in his 20s, is described as being in a serious condition in hospital after being injured at a house in Chapel Street, Colne at 7.25pm on Tuesday. However his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, who is from Colne, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at 7.25pm on Tuesday to reports of an assault at an address in Chapel Street, Colne. A man in his 20s received a stab wound to his back. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
"A 28-year-old man from Colne was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder,. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
"All parties involved are known to each other."
