A NEW film starring a Game of Thrones star was shooting in the region yesterday morning.

The film is a new romantic drama called ‘Let There Be Love’ and is set to star Game of Thrones actor Roger Ashton-Griffiths, who appeared as Mace Tyrell in the hit TV show.

The film was described as a “feel good, beautiful story” by a member of the crew.

It is a Christmas-themed film which is set to be released during the festive period this year.

The crew’’s Location Manager Michaela Pope said: “My brief for the film was to show off York. York is the character of the film and we are very excited to be here.

“Make it York and the Museum’s Trust have been a great help to us.”

The crew are planning on filming on all locations all over the city, including the Museum Gardens later today.

The production company responsible for the film is called Date For My Dad productions. According to IMDb.com other cast for the film includes Olivia-Mai Barrett set to play “Jules” as well as Hadar Cats set to play “Emma”.
