BOLTON School girls' division is celebrating Burns Night with a fundraiser.

As well as putting on a fitting celebration marking life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, the girls' division parents' association will be raising money for the school.

And they are hoping local businesses and members of the community will come on board and provide raffle prizes.

A spokesman said: "Families from all sections of the school, as well as alumni and Friends of Bolton School, will be attending.

"Prizes could be anything at all such as gift vouchers, wine, chocolates, beauty products, homewares or whatever you deem appropriate."

The association wants to make up six prize hampers and also required any size baskets. In return businesses which help will be given publicity on the night including the chance to be featured in the programme. The event takes place on January 25 and those who can help should email mandyhundle@gmail.com.
