REVISED plans for new homes in Accrington have been revealed.
Last year, Countryside Properties lodged an application to Hyndburn Council proposing to build 108 new homes on land north of Ribblesdale Avenue.
Now the firm has submitted a scaled back plan for the development with 11 fewer houses proposed.
The site, close to Accrington Cricket Club and Higham Playing Fields, is currently allocated for residential use and part of it was previously used as a household waste landfill.
The site was reclaimed a number of years ago and was earmarked for residential development.
But market conditions saw proposed redevelopment stall and the site is currently overgrown.
A Countryside spokesman said: "The application preceding this for 108 new homes accessed from Ribbleton Drive was withdrawn in November 2019.
"While the principle of the housing scheme was accepted, concerns in relation to layout, woodland impacts and access have resulted in a decision to revise the scheme in line with comments received from council officers and consultees."
