THE changing face of Blackburn buses was seen at an exhibition of the borough's double deckers in November 1979.

Hundreds of people saw the exhibition, which included buses from 1940s and 50 through to the award-winning Dennis 'Dominator'.

Among those who enjoyed it were Angela Flynn, 10, of Buncer Lane, Blackburn, and her cousins Ann-Marie and Juliet Flynn of Snow Street, Blackburn.

The exhibition was to celebrate 50 years of Blackburn buses.

From launching 12 buses in 1929, Blackburn has built up its fleet to 125, providing a comprehensive network of services throughout Blackburn and Darwen.
