CHESTER FC players staged a guard of honour at the memorial service of Blues legend Gary Talbot.
The club’s much-loved former player passed away on Sunday, December 22, following a long battle with cancer.
A memorial service in his honour took place at St Mary’s Church in his home village of Eccleston on Friday, January 3.
Gary’s wife Christine previously described him as a ‘true gentleman’ and a ‘family man’.
She said: “He was a family man, he loved his family and was proud of them. A true gentleman with a good sense of humour, even until the end.
“He always saw the best in everyone and never had anything negative to say about anyone, he was always so positive.”
