AN engineering firm has opened an office on Teesside after a successful 2019.

West Yorkshire-based Projex Solutions is about to enter its 14th year in business and employs a team of engineers providing a range of services.

Its clients are predominantly based across the M62 / A1 corridors, working in sectors from consumer goods, energy, chemical and pharmaceuticals, providing process, mechanical, ECI engineering, project execution and management services.

The new base at Redcar’s Wilton Centre, along with the existing office in West Yorkshire, will focus on growth plans for the business over the next three years.

Following the signing of its lease at the Wilton Centre, Projex Solutions’ managing director, Jamie Ashton said: “Despite the uncertainty that Brexit has brought, our growth plans have been sustained and we are now focused on the next major milestone in the company’s history, opening a second office in line with our long-term plans.

“Our clients have provided positive feedback for the location and we are looking forward to adding to the team both in the Brighouse and Teesside offices.

“As a growing UK business, I feel proud that we are able to realise our expansion places and demonstrates our long-term commitment and collaborative approach with our clients.”

The engineering team at Projex Solutions has a wide range of experience across all sectors and range from apprentices and graduates to associate, charted and fellow members of relevant professional bodies.

The firm provides various aspects of training, using the IChemE, IMechE and locally funded training providers.

Projex Solutions said the Wilton Centre was selected as the location for its expansion given its history within the process industry, and its current place as the premier science park in the North-East, providing office, laboratory and pilot plant accommodation. The park is next to Wilton International and sits in the heart of the North-East Process Industry Cluster.

The office will be able to accommodate up to eight staff with room for expansion and is scheduled to open today.
