A MAN caught stealing gift sets from Boots admitted he intended to sell them to fund his heroin habit.
Adnan Liaqat Choudhary, 35, of Monk Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to theft of Lynx gift sets worth £150. He was given a conditional discharge for eight months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £22 victim surcharge.
The court heard Choudhary was detained as he left the store and all the items were recovered.
Marnat Ali, defending, said his client was working with Inspire the address his drug issues and was doing well.
