A man has been airlifted to hospital following a serious crash.
Police, ambulance and the fire service were called to the incident on the A59 Longsight Road after receiving reports an HGV had hit a pedestrian.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We were called at around 2.30pm to Longsight Road, near Langho, as an HGV had hit a pedestrian."
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We sent multiple resources to the incident.
"The air ambulance was activated to tend to a man in his 40s."

It is not yet known the extent of the man's injuries but it is believed he was taken to Royal Preston Hospital via the air ambulance.
A police spokesperson said: "We are currently at the scene of a serious collision on Longsight Road.
"The road is closed in both directions between Langho roundabout and Copster Green.
"We would advise motorists avoid the area where possible.
"We will update you as soon as we can."
At 4.45pm on Sunday Longsight Road had been re-opened.
