A BEAUTY salon has won the semi-permanent make-up artist of the year title at the Hair and Beauty British Talent Awards.
Take a Brow in Warner Street, Accrington, was given the top accolade.
Owner Karen Anne, opened up the business three years ago and got into beauty after giving up a career as a singer.
The 35-year-old said she was shocked about winning the award.
She said: "It's fantastic and I'm so happy I won.
"A lot of my work involves helping clients who are undergoing chemotherapy and alopecia.
"It really makes me feel good when I know I'm making a difference to someone's life.
"I hope this award is the first of many."
