A CHRISTMAS gift from the EG Group founded by Blackburn brothers Mohsin and Zuber Issa has helped a specialist school achieve its dream of a minibus..

The petrol station and convenience store giant gave a 'substantial donation' to the appeal for cash to buy the specially-adapted transport for pupils of Newfield School in the town.

It was delivered to the school in Old Bank Lane - which caters for pupil with learning needs (including autism), complex medical needs and sensory impairments.- this week.

Head Rik Robinson said: “The donation is extremely generous and has meant that our students are able to access the community with their peers which is such an important part of their personal development. The relationship with the EG Group is fantastic and we are most grateful for the donation and what this has meant for the pupils."
