A man who crashed his car into a pedestrian after failing to stop for the police has been arrested.
On November 15, police attempted to stop a vehicle on Colne Road in Burnley.
The man driving the car refused to pull over and subsequently crashed his vehicle into a pedestrian before fleeing the scene.
On Tuesday, officers from the Burnley neighbourhood policing team, along with members of the task force team arrested a man on suspicion of dangerous driving.
A spokesperson for the police said: "The driver who made off from the scene, kindly left his DNA on the air bag.
"Last night the driver was charged and remanded to court for dangerous driving and will now be recalled to prison to finish off his sentence for a previous offence.
"For future reference if we don't catch you at the time, your DNA will."
