A MAN has been arrested for burglary after he allegedly broke into a pensioner's house and nicked TVs, a stereo and jewellery.
On December 16, the police noticed a suspicious vehicle on Woodbine Road in Burnley.
Following police enquiries, it was believed the vehicle contained items linked to a burglary in Oswaldtwistle that had happened earlier in the day, in which TVs, a stereo and jewellery had been taken from the house of a man in his 70s.
A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Christopher Follett, 45, of Stanley Street, Accrington, has been charged with burglary, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without insurance.
He appeared at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
