Two people were treated for smoke inhalation when emergency services were called to a house fire on Monday.
Two fire crews from Colne attended reports of a kitchen fire at a property in Spring Place, Colne, just before 6pm.
On arrival, firefighters found two occupants of the house who had suffered smoke inhalation after the oven caught fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel and ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. "There were two casualties at the scene who were suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation that firefighters tended to prior to the arrival of ambulance crews at the scene.
"Fire crews were in attendance approximately one hour and forty five minutes."
