A MAN has been charged with stealing a Christmas tree from a Tesco shop in Prescot.
Officers launched an investigation into the theft of a Christmas tree from the store at Cables Retail Park in Prescot which took place on Tuesday, December 3.

Police arrested a suspect on the evening of Saturday, December 7.
Craig Hannon, 37, of Thomas Drive, Prescot has since been charged with theft in relation the incident.
The matter will be heard in court on Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24).
