A MAN who repeatedly stole alcohol from the same shop has been banned from the outlet for six months.
Blackburn magistrates were told Jan Peter Clough walked into the shop, selected beer or wine and walked out without paying.
But he was told just entering the store was now an offence for the next six months.
Clough, 35, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to three charges of theft from Rishton Co-op, being drunk and disorderly in Thwaites Road, Oswaldtwistle, and possession of cannabis.
He was fined £75 with £85 costs and £35 victim surcharge and ordered to pay £46 compensation to the Co-op. He was banned from the Harwood Road store for six months.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said all the thefts were alcohol for his client's own consumption.
"Alcohol and cannabis use are not helping his mental health difficulties," he said.
