A PROLIFIC shoplifter stole handbags worth more than £800 from shops.
Liam Cover raided TK Maxx in Queensway, Crawley.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court, the 37-year-old admitted two thefts along with failing to keep in touch with supervising officers after his release from prison in September.
He committed the new thefts just days after his release. Court documents noted his crimes were serious because of his “persistent offending for like offences”.
Cover, of no fixed address, was sent back to prison for 32 weeks, and was ordered to pay £300 in compensation.
