WESTMORLAND Gazette reader Sallie Mason sent in these three evocative old photographs.
Two of them show members of the Old Comrades Association (Kendal branch), which comprised men who had served in the First World War.
One of them shows members parading through Market Place at Kendal, likely to have been on Armistice Day.
The other shows members at a social event the The Roebuck on All Hallows Lane in the town, possibly in the 1960s.
The third picture shows members of the Junior Westmorland Orchestra in February 1948.
The pictures came from the family of the late Mary Wilson, nee Nelson, who is pictured fourth from the left on the back row of the orchestra picture.
