A MEDICAL centre will host a Frozen themed flu vaccination party for children aged two and three years of age in Barry.

The party will take place in the West Quay Medical Centre, Hood Road, from 3pm to 6pm on Wednesday, December 11.

Improving vaccine uptake in children is important for individual protection and because of the indirect protection this offers to the rest of the community.

Therefore, it is important that we are able to offer the intranasal vaccination as soon as it becomes available, which helps reduce flu transmission to other vulnerable groups.

The flu can cause severe illness and can even be fatal in some cases especially for young children.

The intranasal vaccination is the best protection against what is an unpredictable virus.

The staff understand being a parent keeps people busy, but the intranasal vaccination will protect the health of your child and loved ones.

The Frozen themed flu vaccination party will include fancy dress, face painting, colouring, Christmas party bags and entry into a free prize draw.
